I do offer occasional weekend and evening appointments, so please check the online scheduling calendar for the most up-to-date availability.
Please provide us with the name of your pets and the name of your last veterinarian so that we can request records prior to your appointment. Please note that if your pet has a chronic condition, I need to review the records prior to the first appointment, so please email records for review to email@example.com.
Dr. Burroughs will want to make notes of current medications in your chart and check dosages during our first appointment.
We will be glad to answer any questions you have regarding pricing prior to your appointment. Please note that recommendations may change once our veterinarian has examined your pet. We always go over recommendations and estimates prior to providing services, so that you are an active part in your pet's health and so there are no surprises with billing at the end of the appointment. We want to be a partner with you in your pet's health care. By reviewing options before the appointment, you may be better prepared during the actual appointment and we can spend more time discussing your pet's health instead of discussing details of costs.
We often address many common questions/concerns during an appointment, but please have your questions ready so that you don't forget them. We'll be happy to answer them or make recommendations for diagnostics/treatments if additional information is needed.
Feel free to email or text me after the appointment if you think of additional questions. If you need a more lengthy phone consult, additional fees may apply as I will need to block off my appointment schedule to accommodate those types of requests. If your pet has samples taken for diagnostics, I (or my assistant) will follow up with the results in the next 2-7 business days (turnaround time varies with the specific test being performed).
